Volunteers Needed
We are in need of more volunteers for help on Sunday mornings for various things on Sunday morning. We are also looking for volunteers to help the different committees. Where do you think you can serve to help things function well? Are you new to our congregation we would welcome you to help as well.
Sunday School Begins Sept 20
We are looking for volunteers that would be willing to teach Sunday School from September through December. We plan to have Sunday School on the third Sunday of the month. The materials for lesson and craft will be available to pick up in the office with the specific month marked on the bin. So that means a lot of the prep has already been done for you. Please let either Susan Woitt or Dorothy Schmidt know that you are willing to volunteer.
Back to Church Sunday Sept 13th
Back to Church Sunday We want to encourage people to come back to church. We want them to feel that they are wanted and belong. September 13, 2026, will be Welcome Back Sunday. It will also be Contemporary Worship. The band will be playing the music that Sunday. We will also be Blessing School Backpacks. We will also have some gift bags with encouraging words on them for the children to put in their backpack. After the service, we will be having a potluck. There will be a freewill offering basket that will be shared between Grace Lutheran Church and the Food Bank.
Food Bank Drive
Leading up to Thanksgiving the Missional Formation/Social Justice Committee is encouraging the congregation to donate to our local food bank. Everyone is feeling the financial burden of inflation but especially those currently struggling financially. We have selected the most needed items and if you are able to, please bring the item(s) to church on the designated Sunday. On Thanksgiving Sunday all of the donations will be placed on the altar and then taken to the food bank. September 13 - cereal & crackers September 20 - beans & tuna September 27 - pasta sauce October 4 - toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, hand soap, shampoo, toilet paper) October 11 - diapers (toddlers 2x & 3x)
Youth Craft Night June 6th
Join us for a fun Youth Craft Night! Paint kindness rocks, enjoy snacks, and spend time together in a relaxed and creative atmosphere. Invite a friend and help us spread kindness throughout our community one rock at a time!
Vacation Bible School July 20-23
Vacation Bible School is quickly approaching! This exciting event will be July 20 -23 from 9:00 - 12:00. The theme is “Snowball Mountain Challenge- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Ways you can help or support: *Volunteer to lead or help with a station (lessons & materials are provided for you) *Spread the word - invite friends neighbours, family *Donate to help cover the cost of snacks lesson materials, craft supplies, and decorations *Pray We would love to have you join us for this important event that shares the good news with children. Service in the Son Block Party June 21
SERVICE IN THE SON BLOCK PARTY AND YOU ARE INVITED!! WHO: YOU, as a neighbor to Grace Lutheran Church’s members and friends WHAT: A Block Party Service followed by a FREE lunch! WHEN: Sunday, June 21, 2026, Service begins at 10:30 a.m. WHERE: Grace Lutheran Church front lawn, (Indoors if weather is inclement) WHY: To get to know each other HOW: Show up. Find a seat, (feel free to bring your own camp chair), share greetings and enjoy your time with us! FYI: Potluck lunch to follow.

Growing in Grace Preschool Mother’s Day Fundraiser We have partnered with two greenhouses this year: Arber Greenhouse and BMR Greenhouse to raise money for the students.
