We’re excited to once again be handing out candy at the church this Halloween! This is a fun way to connect with families in our neighbourhood and share God’s love in a simple but meaningful way. Ways you can help: Volunteer to help greet children and families. Donations of candy to make sure we have plenty to share. Please have donations here by Thursday, October 29th, 2026. November 27, 28, 29 at Calvary Baptist Church, 4910 Northmount Drive, Wetaskiwin We need many volunteers of all ages and abilities to help make this event a success. Of course we need actors, but there are many behind the scenes roles as well. Check out the sign up sheet for some of the many roles needed. We are asking community churches to post the sign-up sheet and poster that will be provided, and encourage their congregations to participate. We will also send a video and power point slide to include during your announcements. Right now, we are looking for volunteers, but in October we will send promotional materials for the actual event. Food Bank Drive

Leading up to Thanksgiving the Missional Formation/Social Justice Committee is encouraging the congregation to donate to our local food bank. Everyone is feeling the financial burden of inflation but especially those currently struggling financially. We have selected the most needed items and if you are able to, please bring the item(s) to church on the designated Sunday. On Thanksgiving Sunday all of the donations will be placed on the altar and then taken to the food bank.   September 20th - Beans & tuna Sept. 27th – Pasta sauce

Sunday School Begins Sept 20

We are looking for volunteers that would be willing to teach Sunday School from September through December. We plan to have Sunday School on the third Sunday of the month. The materials for lesson and craft will be available to pick up in the office with the specific month marked on the bin. So that means a lot of the prep has already been done for you. Please let either Susan Woitt or Dorothy Schmidt know that you are willing to volunteer.

Back to Church Sunday Sept 13th

Back to Church Sunday We want to encourage people to come back to church. We want them to feel that they are wanted and belong. September 13, 2026, will be Welcome Back Sunday. It will also be Contemporary Worship. The band will be playing the music that Sunday. We will also be Blessing School Backpacks. We will also have some gift bags with encouraging words on them for the children to put in their backpack. After the service, we will be having a potluck. There will be a freewill offering basket that will be shared between Grace Lutheran Church and the Food Bank.
