Vacation Bible School is quickly approaching! This exciting event will be July 20 -23 from 9:00 - 12:00. The theme is “Snowball Mountain Challenge- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Ways you can help or support: *Volunteer to lead or help with a station (lessons & materials are provided for you) *Spread the word - invite friends neighbours, family *Donate to help cover the cost of snacks lesson materials, craft supplies, and decorations *Pray We would love to have you join us for this important event that shares the good news with children. Area Gathering May 9th at Grace Lutheran

Education
Grace Lutheran Will be hosting the Area Gathering on May 9. This is an event we hold every year and this year Rev Bill Harrison from the Lutheran Theological Seminary is leading us in a workshop: Brave Changes, Shared Hope" based on his book "Leadership in a Shrinking Church, Finding New Vision in Unlikely Places." It is a learning time for both rostered and lay people alike. The workshop runs May 9, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm Consider setting that day aside to attend this gathering!

Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Services

Maundy Thursday Maundy Thursday Service will be a joint service between Anglicans and Lutherans. It will take place at Immanuel Anglican Church. It starts with a meal at 5:30. Around 6 pm, people will have the opportunity to have their feet washed. On that night, Jesus washed the feet of the disciples. Around 6:30 pm, we will be celebrating Holy Communion. On that night, Jesus had a Passover meal with the disciples in which he took the bread and said this is my body. He took the cup of wine and said this is the blood. Jesus commands us to remember and to do so as well. Finally, around 7 pm, we will move to the sanctuary. At that time, we will strip the altar. Then we will all leave…

MAUNDY THURSDAY SHARED SUPPER

Once again we will be joining our friends at Immanuel Anglican for a joint Maundy Service Supper and Worship service. WHEN: Thursday, April 2 at 5:30pm WHERE: Immanuel Anglican Church Please join us for a simple supper in Immanuel’s fellowship hall followed by a worship service that will include foot and hand washing, Holy Communion and Stripping of the Altar. They are requesting contributions from Grace of: - Three readers for the service - Two crockpots of soup, one gluten free - Three dozen buns Please let the office know if you are able to help out with this.
