Christmas Blessing Bags

Christmas is an especially challenging time for the unhoused. To let them know that they are loved and cared for, we will be making Christmas Blessing Bags to give to the Hope Mission Shelter. Our goal is to provide the shelter with 50 gift bags. Any donations of cash or the items listed below is greatly appreciated. Socks/Underwear Toques/mitts Brush/comb Soap/Shampoo Toothbrush/toothpaste Cards/Games Craft supplies - paper, crayons, etc. Candy/Candy canes Chocolate bar Please leave donations in the labelled bin in the foyer at the church by 1:00 on Saturday, December 20th. You are welcome to help stuff the gift bags that afternoon. If you would like to join us in delivering the gifts, meet at the church on Tuesday, December 23rd, at 11:30. Robert Lewis Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert ‘Rob’ Lewis on November 22, 2025, at the age of 69. Rob was born on April 2, 1956 in Thunder Bay, Ontario to Haig and Betty (nee Barr) Lewis. Rob spent a majority of his adult life dedicating himself to teaching. He had a thirst for knowledge and expanding the future of students. One of his proudest achievements was being able to help his students reach their full potential. Rob’s greatest pride was his family. He was married to his wife Wendy for 35 years, together they had two children Peter and Robin. He was predeceased by his father Haig and his mother Betty. Frieda Minchau 1926 - 2025 With sad hearts we announce the passing of Frieda (Alfreda Zelent) Minchau on July 1, 2025 at the age of 98 years, in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. Frieda was born in Karolinka, Poland, on September 12, 1926, to her parents Emil and Alma Zelent. With her mother and younger sister at her side, she immigrated to Canada in February 1932 to join her father who ventured ahead two years earlier. She married Edward Minchau on June 17, 1947. They spent most of their farming years in the Wetaskiwin community, while raising a family of four children, and being blessed with six grandchildren and six great-grandsons. Gerhardt “Garry” Forth Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Gerhardt Waldimar Forth at the age of 79 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. Garry is survived by his loving wife​, Lorrilyn​; his children​, Jaret (Angie), Aaron (Wendy), Kendra (Sheldon), Melisa (Gerald), ​and Kent​. He was a loving Grandpa to eleven grandchildren: Colton, Braydon, Avery, Zander, Jaedyn, Taylor, Ashley, Todd, Jalisah, Zander and Lybi and to ​three great​-grandchildren;  brother to Daryl (Margot) and Arlen (Lynne) and will be remembered as well by his numerous other family and friends.
